Inter-war booklets about Bolton
Bolton’ Chamber of Commerce published its first directory of businesses in 1919. Ten years later ‘The Book of Bolton’ followed. This was was more of a general introduction to the town than purely business oriented, and was followed in 1938 with a commemorative booklet celebrating a hundred years since its charter.

E.S. & J Wicockson were based at School Hill Works on Kent Street in Bolton and manufactured leather items. This is fairly typical of the type of sales and pricing brochure produced by textile businesses in the area.
