Life around the Tonge Moor area in the early 1930s

Local business adverts supporting a fund raising effort by the Tonge Moor Congregational Church provides a hint of what life was like in the area during the late 1920s and early 1930s. Most of these local businesses have long  since gone although Warburtons is a notable exception.
