Ged has extensive experience in a number of management disciplines embracing finance, sales and operational roles in both B2B and B2C environments. After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Spicer & Pegler (now Deloitte), Ged joined JI Case(retail construction equipment) as one of its regional accountants in his first private sector role. On leaving Case, he joined the Maclean Hunter Cable TV group as one of its first U.K. employees, and played a key role in creating the early cable TV infrastructure in Blackburn, Lancashire. Maclean Hunter sold its six U.K. franchises in the mid 1990’s and he migrated from core finance into a series of general operational, planning, support and strategy roles within NYNEX, Cable & Wireless and in later years NTL (rebranded Virgin Media in 2006). His last position in NTL:Telewest being that of Director of Planning & Development. Ged has considerable experience of consultancy work drawn from working on internal projects within telecommunications and more recent external client assignments across a number of sectors, UK based and internationally. He is also a registered PRINCE2 practitioner and familiar with ITIL concepts (Foundation V3 certified) and Lean Six Sigma.
